STRENGTH IN SILENCE
CLASS - LEADING SAFETY PERFORMANCE
With brake override technology fitted as standard, it incorporates a range of active safety technologies including ECB ( Electronically Controlled Brake System ), ABS ( Anti - lock Brake System ) with EBD ( Electronic Brake force Distribution), Brake Assist System, TRC and VSC. An energy absorbing body frame helped to create a safe car that meets stringent safety standards. Fitted with eight SRS ( Supplemental Restraint System)
airbags, sensors react to the impact intensity in the event of a collision and activate the dual - stage SRS driver airbag, dual - stage SRS front passenger airbag, and SRS side airbags ( Front seats ). Front seat occupants also benefit from SRS knee airbags, while SRS curtain shield airbags help protect front and rare outboard occupants. For extra protection, WIL ( Whiplash injury Lessening) concept front seats help suppress neck motion in a rear end collision.

  DON'T MAKE A NOISE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

ECO/EV-DRIVE MODE: RELAXING ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE

With the drive mod selector on the center console you can easily adjust the CT200h to match your driving mood: For a smooth efficient drive, Eco Mode and Normal Mode use the engine to achieve higher speeds and blend in electric power, with air conditioning power reduced to enhance fuel economy in Eco Mode. Select EV-Drive Mode and the Lexus Hybrid Drive provides an almost silent drive up to normal driving speeds, using no gasoline and emitting zero CO2 or NOx. In EV-Drive Mode, Eco Mode and Normal Mode, the instruments and overhead cabin lighting take on a blue colour, white the Hybrid System Indicator help you drive more efficiently.

ACCELERATE CHANGE

SPORT MODE: EXCITING DRIVING PERFORMANCE

If you're in the mood for a dynamic drive, select Sport Mode and the CT200h immediately retunes the throttle input for more direct acceleration, increasing battery power. Sport Mode also adjusts the EPS ( Electric Power Steering,) VSC ( Vehicle Stability Control ) and TRC ( Traction Control System ) for a more lively drive. You'll also notice how the Hybrid System Indicator changes into a tachometer (Optional ) to display engine revs, and the instruments and overhead cabin lighting turn a sporty red.

SENSE A NEW BALANCE OF POWER

ADVANCED DRIVING DYNAMICS

The CT200h is dynamic and rewarding to drive. Behind the wheel you'll experience a real sense of connectedness to a car that is beautifully balanced and very agile. Responses are precise and controlled, thanks to an incredibly strong chassis, low centre-of-gravity and the extensive use of aluminum components. Sports handling is delivered by the double wishbone rear suspension, while EPS ensures responsive and precise control. Contributing to a safe and rewarding drive, VSC is fitted as standard, while optional race inspired front and rear 'performance dampers'
enhance handling and comfort even further.

HOW DOES THE LEXUS HYBRID DRIVE WORKS

FULL THROTTLE ACCELERATION

Accelerate powerfully and the electric motor instantaneously supplements the 1.8 - litre engine. This delivers a surge of torque to provide powerful linear acceleration precisely when you need it.

 START UP, DRIVING OFF

When starting off, the electric motor can propel the CT200h up to normal driving speeds with electric power being supplied from the hybrid battery. At this point the vehicle is almost silent, uses no gasoline and produces zero emissions.

  NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS

At normal driving speed the advanced engine cuts in, almost silently, but still receives assistance from the electric motor when required. Through the excellent distribution of its dual power sources, it provides exceptional driving comfort - together with reduced emission and fuel consumption.

DECELERATION,  STOPPING, BRAKING

When decelerating or coming to a halt, the engine turns off, cutting emission to zero. Brake, or take your foot off the accelerator pedal, and the regenerative braking system harnesses the kinetic energy lost in other cars. It converts this into electrical energy for storage in the hybrid battery, which is one reason whey you never need to recharge a Lexus Full Hybrid.
