SENSE A NEW BALANCE OF POWER
With its sleek design and class-leading
environmental performance, the CT200h is a totally new
kind of car, delivering extremely low emissions and fuel
consumption. A full Hybrid luxury compact, this
revolutionary Lexus offers an outstanding combinations
of smooth, dynamic handling and class-leading
refinement. |

PASSIVE SAFETY: |
| |
PASSENGER SAFETY CABIN |
For your safety, the
CT200h has a strong passenger cabin. The
car’s main pillars are specially
reinforced and high tensile steel has
been used strategically throughout.
Crumple zones front and rear absorb
energy in a crash, as does the steering
column, which is engineered to collapse
on impact.
EIGHT AIRBAGS |
The CT200h is equipped
with eight SRS airbags and front
seatbelt pretension And force limiters.
In a collision, impact intensity sensors
activate the dual –stage SRS driver
airbag, dual – stage SRS front passenger
airbag, and SRS side airbags ( Front
seats ) Front seat occupants also
benefits from SRS knee airbags, while
SRS curtain shield airbags run the full
length of the side windows. |
SIDE IMPACT PROTECTION |
Particular care has been
taken to help protect occupants from
side impacts. Strengthened front and
impact beams help absorb and side impact
beams help absorb and distribute
collision energy away from the driver
and passengers.

TWIN – CHAMBER FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG |
Crash testes show that the front seat
passenger travels further then the
driver before making contact with the
airbag. In order to help reduce the
impact to the front seat passenger, the
dual – stage SRS front passenger airbag
is a twin – chamber type. |

BODY STRUCTURE TO HELP REDUCE INJURY TO
PEDESTRIANS |
The hood is optimized to
help ensure excellent energy absorption
in a collision with a pedestrian. In
addition, the windshield wiper area is
designed to help reduce pedestrian
injuries in an accident. |
ISOFIX SEAT MOUNTINGS
Drivers with small children will
appreciate the added security of ISOFIX
seat mountings, that can be used to
quickly dock child seats in a secure
fashion. |

WIL ( WHILPLASHI INJURY LESSENING )
CONCEPT FRONT SEATS |
The front seat and
headrest design helps minimize
whiplash-inducing neck motion in rear
impact. Reinforced side frames let the
torso sink into the seatback, while the
forward placement of the headrest
effectively supports the head. |

SAFETY: |

AERODYNAMICS
The CT200h has class-
leading aerodynamics, thanks to its low
hood, long roofline and rear spoiler /
diffuser / fins. A look underneath this
breakthrough compact reveals more, with
aerodynamic engine and fuel fuel tank
covers and surfboard – like fins that
provide good stability. This attention
to detail not only enhance dynamic
performance and handling, but also
contributes to fuel efficiency and
reduces wind noise.
DOUBLE WISHBONE REAR SUSPENSION |
The double wishbone /
trailing arm rear suspension, developed
specially for the CT200h, delivers
outstanding road holding, refined
cornering agility and superb Straight –
line stability. More complex to
manufacture then strut-based
alternatives, its compact design
contributes to the ample rear luggage
space. Performance dampers are also
available for the front and rear
suspension as an option. These absorb
fine vibrations enhance ride comfort and
crate an more precise steering feel. |
HILL START ASSIST CONTROL
Hill- start Assist
Control maintains breaking pressure to
help prevent the CT200h from moving
backwards when starting on a slope. In
addition to reducing driver fatigue, it
also helps to minimize wheel spin on
slippery inclines. |
| |
| |
EBD ( ELECTRONIC BREAK FORCE
DISTRIBUTION ) / BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM |
EBD Works with ABS(Anti-
lock Break System ) to help ensure
optimum brake force is applied to each
wheel, according to road conditions. The
brake assist system comes into action
during emergency braking and increases
brake force automatically if required. |
TRC (TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM)
TRC enhances the ability
to grip the road, especially when
starting off or accelerating on uneven
or slippery surfaces. Corrective
measures are applied the moment the risk
of wheel spin is detected, to help
maintain traction.
VSC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL)
An electronic system
designed to help the driver maintain
vehicle control under adverse
conditions. VSC is not a substitute for
safe driving practices. Factors
including speed, road conditions and
driver steering input can all affect
whether VSC will be effective in
preventing a loss of control. |
