HELPING TO MINIMIZE
OCCUPANT INJURIES
|
|
 |
|
In the event of a
collision that cannot be avoided, the
LS600hl was designed with a thorough
complement of passive safety measures
for excellent occupant protection |
|
|
A SYSTEM WITH UP TO 11
SRS AIRBAGS ENVELOPS AND HELPS TO
PROTECT OCCUPANTS |
|
 |
|
Inside the LS600hL are up
to 11 SRS (Supplemental Restraint
System) airbags. The driver’s and front
passenger’s seat feature deal- stage SRS
airbags that inflate at optimum speed in
relation to the force of a frontal
collision, as well as SRS knee airbags
that help extend protection to
occupants’ bodies by airbags help to
protect occupants against side
collisions. The LS00hl also features an
SRS Seat Cushion Airbag for the rear
seat behind the front passenger’s seat

THE CAR HELOS SUPPORT THE
DRIVER
|
|
The vehicle provides
maximum support within the limits of its
capabilities up to and beyond the
awareness of the driver controlling it.
It reacts both to changes in the road
surface in a variety of situation such
as cornering and to driver inputs,
providing precise support when necessary
along with peace of mind. |

VDIM
CONTROL MADE POSSIBLE BY A HYBRID POWER
TRAIN + AWD |
|
The advanced functions of
VDIM (Vehicle Dynamics Integrated
Management) with active steering
integrated control provide both the
ideal dynamic performance and a high
level of active safety by combining
functions that were previously
controlled separately – for example, the
engine, brakes and steering – into a
single system for integrated control.
VDIM logic is designed to take maximum
advantage of two of the vehicle’s
technologies: the hybrid power train,
which allows precise torque control and
AWD, which benefits from extended
performance limits. This not oly helps
to enhance stability, even in rain or
snow conditions, but also allows the
driver to enjoy driving on winding
roads. |

ACTIVE STEERING
INTEGRATED CONTROL
|
|
Control over the amount
of steering torque by the EPS ( Electric
Power Steering) is augmented by control
of the front wheel steering angle by
VGRS (Variable Gear Ratio Steering),
providing optimal support for correcting
steering inputs. |
|
|
EPS (ELECTRIC POWER
STEERING)
|
|
 |
|
Provides optimal steering
feel from low to high speeds by
assisting the steering force with an
eclectic motor. Coordination with ABS
and VSC ensures excellent stability. |
