We aimed to provide

for Lexus is VVT - iE-our electrically –
activated variable intake valve timing system.
Using an electric motor to move the valves
(rather than the hydraulic pressure of
conventional system), the system is faster to
respond and gives greater flexibility, thus
improving torque and fuel economy over a wider
range of engine speeds. |

THE 8 – Speed Transmission |
Remarkable
technical virtuosity has been applied to create
a transmission of unprecedented smoothness,
minimal time lag and shift shock.
The 8 – speed transmission can also perform
multiple and skip gear shifts – rather than
