AHC |
AHC helps to ensure driving stability by
lowering the vehicle height during
high-speed driving to refine aerodynamic
performance. While driving L4 and other
low-speed modes, the vehicle height is
raised to facilitate a longer suspension
stroke, for good drive ability on rough
roads. roads.
|
|
|
|
|
AVS |
In addition to conventional damping force
control during on-road driving, the system
also activates when the suspension
experiences significant vertical motion,
providing stability, control and ride
comfort on rough roads.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Shock absorber oil ducts on all four wheels
have been linked to ensure that the input on
one wheel is dispersed to the other wheels,
helping to ensure ride comfort and the
stability of the vehicle's posture, as well
as the road-holding performance of the tires
on rough roads.

Spring Rate Switching Control
|
|
This function controls switching of the spring
rate of the front suspension to ensure ride
comfort during normal driving, and controls
changes in the vehicle posture during operations
such as turning and braking.

|
|
Thanks to the excellent front and rear wheel
stroke, the LX570 delivers exceptional drive
ability on rough roads. Strong rear stability
enhances the vehicle's ability to track the road
surface, helping to ensure stability and control
that meet the driver's intentions.

4-Wheel AHC & AVS is a state-of-the-art
suspension control system designed to deliver
exceptional stability and control while
maintaining optimal vehicle posture in response
to driving conditions, by integrating control of
the AHC, AVS and suspension at all four wheels
into a single system. On-road, this system helps
to ensure vehicle stability during turning,
braking and high-speed driving. Off-road, it
delivers exceptional drive ability by
heightening the road-holding performance of the
tires.

Crawl Control maintains an extremely low vehicle
speed when driving over rocky roads or mud by
automatically controlling the engine and brakes.
At the same time, it minimises wheel spin and
wheel lock-up, enabling the driver to
concentrate on steering without worrying about
acceleration and braking. Effective at
maintaining vehicle stability and extricating
the vehicle when it is stuck, Crawl Control
reduces both the burden on the drive train and
potential body damage.

HILL-START ASSIST CONTROL
|
|
If the vehicle begins to slip backwards as the
driver switches from the brake to the
accelerator pedal while starting up on a steep
incline or slippery hill, Hill-start Assist
Control automatically applies the brakes lightly
to reduce the backward movement of the vehicle.

ACTIVE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM

This function controls switching of the spring
rate of the front suspension to ensure ride
comfort during normal driving, and controls
changes in the vehicle posture during operations
such as turning and braking. braking.

VGRS
(VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING)
|
|
VGRS enables the vehicle to make large turns
with small steering inputs at parking speeds,
but selects a slow gear ratio during high-speed
driving to provide a stable steering feel.

The LX570 features a transfer using a
TORSEN® LSD (Limited Slip Differential)*
that controls torque distribution between
the front and rear wheels in response
to road and driving conditions. During
normal driving, the system -uses a front 40:
rear 60 torque distribution. During
cornering and when experiencing wheel slip,
it optimally varies driving force to help
ensure high traction performance.
A cylinder-shape switch lets the driver
smoothly operate the transfer.

> The LX570 is designed to provide ample
clearance when driving off-road in steep
mountainous areas or on rocky terrain. The
vehicle's high ground clearance makes quick work
of tough conditions.
